Prisca Elzen

Prisca Elzen is a producer, writer, and director. She is a founding member of The Green Bay Filmmaker and Creatives Meetups. Her short films include To: Tillie; In Cardboard; The Abstract Art of Life; The Inspection; and Annoyee of The Month. Her Wisconsin 48 Hour Project short films are produced as Chameleon Films a collaborative team between her, Jocelyne Berumen, and Kerstyn Lanius where they rotate ownership. She has worked on several other WI 48s including Frost Bite (produced by Key Media & Fresh Coast Films); Maiden, Mother, Crone; and Mr. Bale (both Chameleon Films productions owned by Cyclops Girl Productions) and two film like music videos Ancient Evenings, and Saturn’s Return (by Haylie Olson). Prior to pursuing film her background was commercial and non-profit videography and studio photography. She holds an Associate Degree in Digital Media Technology from Northeast Wisconsin Technical College, a Part 107 sUAS (Drone Pilot) license, and a membership with Professional Photographers of America.

A midwest farm girl and equestrian at heart she lives for days outdoors and is enamored by beautiful light whether twinkling from city rooftops or wide open fields. The oldest of 7 children she enjoyed making up plays and directing her siblings early in life. Some of her great joys in the filmmaking process are all things preproduction, scouting the perfect location, building a team who works well together, and seeing it all come together as creative collaboration on set.

She’s a collector of personality assessments for fun: Myers Briggs: ENFP, Colors: Blue, Enneagram: 3w4, DISC: DI and her CliftonStrenghts top 5 is Input | Ideation | Activator | Communication | Developer. While she doesn’t like putting herself or others in boxes she enjoys having terminology for how she and others prefer to communicate.

She is especially interested in telling stories through film about psychology, child abuse, women’s empowerment, women’s health, animal-human bonds, joy, and the indomitable human spirit.
