About Priscilla

Hi!

I’m Priscilla,

I’m a multi-passionate videographer and photographer based in Green Bay, Wisconsin, USA. I’ve been professionally taking photo and video since 2017. From short films, company overview videos, to portraiture and more - I’ve pretty much tried it all and found the areas I love.

Who I love to work with:

  • Equestrians

  • Non profits

  • Business owners

  • Female Entrepreneurs

  • Mothers

Industry Experience:

  • Agriculture

  • Healthcare

  • Transportation

  • Construction

  • Finance

  • Retail

A little about me:

  • I’m and ENFP, Enneagram 3, and my top CliftonStrengths is Input.

  • I’ve been married 6 years.

  • I am a huge advocate for women’s health and host a podcast called Hand Me The Megaphone on this topic in my spare time.

  • I love photo and video so much that I take my camera out still just for fun and take landscape or detail shots. Catch me turning into a birder sometimes.

  • I read way to many self help books - seriously I love learning.

  • If I read fiction it’s historical fiction.

For me creative work is not just something I do - but something I am. Some of my top skills are posing people and interviewing people. I am grateful for every interviewee who shares their story and gets vulnerable with me.

A little piece of me goes into each project. I see the world and myself as multifaceted and look forward to creating something with you or your company.

FAQs

  • Prisca Elzen is a shortening of my maiden name Priscilla Van Den Elzen. I wanted something unique. When I googled my name there was another living Priscilla Van Den Elzen in the Netherlands and upon googling my future married name Priscilla Brock - well there’s a lot of us. Googling Prisca Elzen resulted in nothing. It was a clean slate. At the time of creation I was also still quite attached to my maiden name and knew that someday I would be changing it for my husband. I wanted to hang on to a bit of my maiden name professionally. Perhaps it symbolizes hanging on to the little pieces of ourselves. It’s also kind of cool meaning wise. Priscilla means ‘ancient’. Van Den Elzen means ‘one who lives under the elder tree’. Prisca Elzen = Ancient Elder Tree.

  • Prisca to me is my brand however those who I work with professionally or know me primarily from the internet may refer to me by it. The first few times it threw me but now I’m used to it. Priscilla is how I’m known to family and therefore what I’m most familiar with. I might be surprised when you say Prisca but I will answer to either.

  • Post high school I worked for 2 years. I needed a career change from nursing (CNA). I took a college phamplet on offered programs and my truck on a weekend roadtrip where I that night I decided between graphic design and the digital media technology program. The deciding factors were prayer and the fact that I had really liked taking photos of my younger siblings as a teen. I knew I needed to be creative and I figured I’d already shown an interest in cameras. I got my associates in Digital Media Technology but have discovered lots of people do this successfully without a degree. The main thing is staying current with the ever changing pace of tech by learning new things. I like that.

  • Let’s be real this isn’t a typical FAQ - but I think it’s a fun thing to ask people! I like hearing what their responses are!

I wanted to be a horse trainer / author and have a big cattle ranch. 20ish horses and 100 cattle seemed like a lot to me. I wanted a big library and to write fiction - historical fiction with horses, cowboys, or set in the 1700s.

  • Don’t worry I had to google it too! I found this t-shirt in a shop on Broadway NYC. Considering I was in college for video I thought it appropriate and bought it as a souvenir. When I google it that night I discovered that it is a Hollywood / or Broadway cultural reference to how we’re never happy with the job we have. Wanting to grow and achieve the next thing. Maybe a touch to appropriate for a creative ;)
