I am deeply passionate about providing an accessible platform through this podcast to empower and educate women about their health and to help them live fuller lives!

My personal inspiration to create this podcast stemmed from the difficulties I encountered while seeking answers and finally receiving my diagnoses of PCOS and Lyme's Disease. The average woman goes 9 years undiagnosed with PCOS - my story was the same as I gained 180 lbs for 9 years at a steady rate of 20 lbs a year until my period finally shut off for 3 months in 2021 and I received a swift diagnosis over Teladoc. It took me another 2 years to prove through clean eating that something else was going on to my doctors and receive my Lyme’s Disease diagnosis. It shouldn’t take us that long!

I believe women innately know something is wrong way before the severity of symptoms escalates to a diagnosis but we struggle to put it into words and be believed in the doctors office. We struggle to advocate for ourselves and we struggle to find a doctor and other providers to deep dive with us and explore what’s really going on.

Furthermore, women’s health is significantly lacking in funding and research. Women are not being taught about their bodies and cycles in a way that supports them throughout life. There is a knowledge gap I regularly experience in talking with my friends and I want to close that gap for all women. In America’s healthcare system our doctors don’t have enough time with their patients to deep dive and the system is not set up to help either the patient or provider to succeed. We’re great at emergencies and obvious diagnoses but so much more could be prevented. Women could have a higher quality of life!

This experience has fueled my commitment to creating a space where women can find solidarity, understanding, and valuable insights into managing their health and getting the diagnosis. My goal with this podcast is to amplify the providers who are sleuths with their clients - uncovering the clues and putting together the pieces of complex health issues and to help every women become educated and feel empowered to manage their health and find the providers to help them.

Please join me in amplifying the issue of women’s health and our collective understanding of it as a society!
